K2 Science Experiment - Air Pressure

2nd semester science experiment - teach children about the air pressure, air pressure can prevent the plastic sheet and water from falling, maybe they are not really understand about the science concept yet at this stage, through the experiment, children explored & train their observation as well, when they bring back the material, parents need to do the experiment together.

QQ Sg.Ara 'Go Green' Outing on 2 Jun 2011

Let's look what happend in QQ Sg.Ara on 2 Jun 2011 :
7.45-8.00am     all the teachers,children & parents was arrived at school, all look very fresh & excited for the trip.
8.00am              let's go 出发咯！
8.15-9.00am       having breakfast(buns) in the bus


9.30-11.00am     
Arriving the first destination - Organic vegetables farm, the owner-Mr.Lui & his family welcome                               us,he has plant a lot of vegetables exp:lady's finger,sweet corn,pumpkin,watermelon,long bean,cucumber ....all the children have change to pluck the corn,do you know that actually the cucumber have the soft thorn when we just pluck from the plant...then, the children went to a big pond to feed the fish with bread...have a CCTV visit at the bird nest house.


11.00am-12.00nn
We walk to the goat farm that very nearby the organic farm, the owner-Mr & Mrs.Ho already there waiting for us,they bring us to the goat farm just beside their house, they let the children feed the goat with the grass,at the begining, some children was very scared that so close to the goat, but the goat was so friendly & they are very hungry,finish eating all the grass that we given.After that, Mr.Ho demonstrating the process of milking the goat with the machine.

12.30-2pm
The bus send us to the nutmeg factory, the owner already waiting at the road side,he show us the nutmeg tree,we also having lunch there,then, he explain the usage of the nutmeg that can make juice,jam,asam manis,tea  .......after rest for a while.....the children help to cut the nutmeg.

2.30-4.15pm
Last station, we went to orchard, all the people was complaining very hot & tired cus we need to 'climbing' up the road & the sunlight like 'burning' our skin....everybody sweating.Finally, we reached the orchard, the PIC -Mei Shy prepare some drinks & fruits for us,when we look down from there, the view was very comfortable & 'green',then we start to eat the king of fruits-durian, we also enjoyed other fruits exp:jackfruit, ciku, banana, papaya........the stomach was very full, then we walk around the orchard to look around the threes.

Although the weather was 'super' hot & need to walk a lot, very tired but i feel this is the most enjoyable trip that i have been.....naturally, this is a good time to let our children to experience & love our nature......
awaiting for the next trip.......  

QQ Go Green activites - gardening day 园艺日

     27 May 2011(Friday) - QQ Sg Ara was having a gardening day, the purpose of this activities is to let the children understand the grow of plant, vegetables need air, water & sunlight to grow healthy. We have to plant a lot of green plant to make our environment look 'green'. Children was very excited & involve themselves actively in this activities.
     为了培养孩子们对园艺的兴趣及绿化我们的环境，本园在上个星期举办了一项园艺活动，让小朋友们种植一些疏菜.小朋友们都觉得很新奇，原来植物是需要泥土，水，空气及阳光才会茁壮的成长。老师会在接下来的几个星期让小朋友们观察小植物的成长。
